Brigitt Angst is a photographer and biologist. She grew up in Lucerne, Switzerland and now lives and works in London, England.
In July 2011 she obtained her MA in Photography from De Montfort University with Distinction. She embarked on self-portraiture and portraiture projects. Her major project, 'Who's That Girl?' explores identity, femininity and difference and employs fashion style photography.
She also works in architectural and fine art nature photography, particularly plant macro photography. Her previous occupation in biology is a strong influence on her photographic practice. She holds a PhD in Clinical Immunology from Berne University, Switzerland, an MA in Photography from De Montfort University, Leicester and a Ba(Hons) in Photography from the University of Westminster, London.
